Made the trek over for the evening bite, since the weather and winds looked good for the first time. Ran south to the Jects. Had a few technical difficulties with gear but easily fixable. Added some blood run copper this year and was very pleased had 3 rips on a 300' copper w/ happee meal last nite and had a screamer just about spool us on a small glow ladderback off the rigger northport nailer plug. Nice quality fish. marked some bait 150 fow but no takers found the fish in 100-130 fow. Then an eary fog set in and we called it a nite

That early fog looked and acted very much like a squall line, not something to stay out and see in type weather. Sameo this early morning, nasty storms for a couple hours, then the day became nice. We found nice steelhead off the bank in 220' fow riggers 55' and 300 copper. Way too much bait is keeping the bite light and not hot yet.

Ran to Pentwater from Ludington and only hit 1 in the first hour. Then we had a slow pick hitting 7 and landing 3 kings and 2 cohos. The kings came in 70 to 110 fow of water on a green glow ace high on a 150 copper.  A black tuxedo spin doctor and blue fairways fly on a low diver out 110 and a moonshine green shorts on a 225 copper. Cohos came in 140 fow later morning on a mountain dew meet rig on a 300 copper and a the tuxedo spin doctor.  We fished Ludington Saturday getting a late start at 8p

Fished up by the bathhouse (south of Big Sable Point) first thing in the dark in 70 feet, didn't mark much so moved out deeper to 130 on the ledge.  The morning bite didn't materialize until later around 8:30 when we had the low diver set at 110 go off twice, both nice fish but they came unglued.  Both on a froggy DW paddle and a UV gasoline (chartreuse) meat rig.  Seems tougher fishing this year in Ludington but the fish are big.

Sunday we fished south of Ludington trolling south nothing we turn around and went north kaboom! We got two a laker weight over 12lbs with down riggers with hot lips moonshine at 90 feet down in 170fow. The king was over 19lbs with a high line Dipsy diver at 170 out with spin doctor green with a green mirage Fly at 150 fow. Water surface was 65, 67°f. That king took us to bring in over 20 min. A lot of others boats got nothing or a couple knockouts with nothing to show. I will be going to Manis
