Twill23
Got out for the first trip in the big boat this year. Launched at about 5:45am and turned the pier and set lines. As we began to set our third line, the 2color lead and one of the 1/2oz inlines went off. Much to our surprise these fish started the acrobatics. The first one popped off, but we manage to land the 2nd. We couldn't believe it. A 14.75lb king. If you know anything about the area, you'll understand . We got lines reset and hit a small 3-4lb brown. In the next hour the bugs really came out and so did the lake trout. We boxed out in about 45mins and headed back in to get away from the swarming bugs!

Twill23
They were all in and around 25ft. We hit fish only where water temp was 44. But all around it was anywhere as low as 38.
Fresh spawn
Sure been some solid spring kings from Lake Huron this year, there must've been a fair uptick in smelt.
