Here's the rest of my arsenal. I thought we were just talkin wire, and copper. All are Shimano Takota reels(600's, 700's, and 800's) on 8' & 9' stainless eyelet conventional, or 9', and 10' roller rods.

I'd sure hate to find out the price per pound of salmon after all the $$$$ we spend on tackle, gear, boats, etc.

45# copper

1 - 200'

1 - 250'

1- 300'

I didn't think I had that much until I typed it up! Looking at my spread, what would be a good next copper size???

QUOTE=pmjasper;87153]I think I have about 21 reels strickly for trout and salmon trolling.

It's all well and good until the wife starts counting them, knows how much they cost and knows you didn't have any before last June when we got the boat.

I was kinda thinking some of you guys were crazy for having 20+ set ups on the boat, and then I realized you probably fish 9 or 12 lines, while I'm on a 16 footer and only fish six lines.

I have;

2 mono rigger

2 braid dipseys

1-2color

1-3color

1-5color

1-7color

1-10color

1-300' 45 copper

I use dive bombs on the different lengths of leadcore if need be to reach a certain depth.

2 - mono flat lines

4 - braid dipsy

2 - 2 color

1 - 5 color

1 - 7 color

1 - full core

Wow, where the heck did all this come from just starting last year???

I fish with Randy 95% of the time. Was usually out of my small 16' but now a bigger 17'. Last year on a salmon /perch trip i think i counted 22 rods

5 rigger rods

I thought I was sick, but now I feel like I need a few more copper set ups. This is what I have:

2 - CV30s with 1000' wire for dipseys

2 - CV30s with andi for riggers

2 - CV30s with mono for high lines

1 - 45classic pro with 1 color lead

1 - 45classic pro with 2 color lead

2 - CV45L with 3 colors lead

2 - CV45L with 5 colors lead

2 - CV45L with 10 colors lead

2 - CV55L with 300 copper

16 total.

Sounds like I need to add - 150 copper at least and maybe some others.

Really now. Can you ever have too many rods, and reels? I don't think so.

Just wondering? Why are you guys running 1000ft of wire? You can save some dime if you use a dacron backer and 600ft of wire. We routinely run our wires at 250-350ft back and have never had an issue getting to the backing knot. Now on lake O that might be a different story.

If the spool comes in 1,000' lengths, and you put 600' on one reel, then what do you do with the other 400'?
