The Coho's Are Here!!

Recommended Posts

The deepest part of the whole area is about 12-15'

Riggers= 7-8' down 20-25' back

Dipsey's= 10-15' on counter

Yellow Birds= 25-35' + 5/8oz keel

Once you troll past the discharge it gets plenty deeper from the shipping channel and back to the lighthouse. The general troll for this water is counterclockwise and you do not want to troll against the grain. Used to catch nice browns, steelhead and kings in the deeper water from the channel to the light once the water warms a bit more.

Treblemaker the spot your talking about is Gary Light the video was shot in the little bay next to the gambling boat leaving the East Chicago Marina it's the only clean water we could find. Your right about Gary light though it gets much deeper away from the discharge and can be a real good spot when the water clears up unless your casting the discharge for Brown's and Coho's and then it doesn't matter there always something willing to bite there.
