JWheeler Posted December 17, 2010 Share Posted December 17, 2010 Took the day, 12/16, to fish a lake near lansing. Fished the same lake 12/11 with 2.5" of ice. With all of the cold weather there was certainly quite a bit more ice, up to 8". Top 2" was white from the wet snow. Anyway, we kept about 40 gills and 2 pike, both right about 30". Started at 10AM and quit @ 5PM. Waxies for the gills and pike minnows on the tip ups. It was a nice day to be out of the office and be on the ice in the outdoors.
