can you run fire line off of slide divers or just mono?

You can run a super braid with a slide diver, but make sure you pay attention to the tubing where the diver pinches the line. When you wear through the tube it will start to wear through the diver and can create nicks that could cut the super braid and LOSE the BIG ONE!

from my experience, you can not run it with out the "extra pieces." i learned the hard way. had some i had laying around for a while and tried to use them with braided line by themselves. the divers would not hold and slid down to my stoppers. use as directed certainly applies here.

Twist the line around where the rubber tubing is. One twist will usually stop the fireline from slipping and will straighten out when the diver releases.
