Downriggers for Eyes

Recommended Posts

I finally got my my boat completely rigged and thought I would use my downriggers to run a few extra lines. Can I use a 10/12 lb ball or do I need to drop down to 4 LBs? Just want to get used to the setup.

Thanks!

I like to run riggers for walleye, and I think I have finally found the release that will work for them. The chamberlain release. You can set the tension for the release both vertically ( to the rod tip) and horizontally to the lure.

JWheeler,

I went to their website and watched the Youtube video. They look like good products. The stacker release looks awsome also.

switched over to the chamberlains this spring and love them.you can set the preload as tight as your drag will hold without creeping and still have a dink king release.keith has made the perfect mouse trap in my opinion:thumb:

I did the same thing, I currently use Blacks, but I can see my next replacements being chamberlains, I really want to get my hands on the stacker, that looks so much better than pinchers...:thumb::thumb::thumb:

I did send him a note to find out when they would be on the market.
