Angles for bird trees

Recommended Posts

Well i came down to it and wanted to get some bird trees to run some extra rods. I didnt want to go out and buy it and spend 300+ on them so i was talking to my dads buddy who happens to have a welding co that will do it for cost. around 60 bucks he said. I can deicied to go with a 40, 45, 50 degree angles or 45,50,55. What do u guys think

Yes, I run 4 poles on 45 spaced 9" apart, but like i said earlier I can rotate them so I can separate them nicely and adjust how the boards track in the water, and when going to the dock the holders rotate out of the way with the poles in them for docking. I can post a picture tonight if you want

i made my own set this past spring and all the holders are at 45's. i just staggered them down the pole so the top holder is towards the front of the boat a little the middle one is centered and the bottom one is set a little towards the back of the boat. i think i off set each one about 2 degrees and they work really well.
