mattmishler Posted April 10, 2010 Share Posted April 10, 2010 went fly fishing for steelhead for the first time yesterday. Got to the river about 6 and went to my cuzes favorite spot and started casting. First hook up was a 8inch rainbow on a egg pattern at 9:30 that was the first and last hook up i had. Not finding any steelhead we go on the bank and started looked for fish. We were over casting the whole time the fish were 10 feet in front of us. So we got back in the river and started changing flys up. Me not the greatest fly caster didnt hook up with any steelhead but my cuz went 2 for 4 all on green caddis. Two males and lost and male and a bright crome female. Im ready for the big lake them river fish are to dang picky. Great time tho, better than siting home.
