Spin Doctors

Recommended Posts

I have run my spin doctors on the slow hole(fin side) many times. I will often change it up depending on if they are hitting them or not....I also like running shorter leaders.....everyone does it different, its best to try what works for the speed you like to run.

HA! I have always run them in the "more action" hole....After further review and looking at the excellent diagram, I have actually been using the less action hole. They have worked for me but Alderton Flashers or Protrols have always been more productive. Maybe I should start reading directions and get out of the "ah, i can figure this out myself" attitude more often!

If you have fly leaders on the shorter side(under 22" from end of loop to fly head) you will have no problem getting fish on the less action hole of any brand flasher. Over 22" you should be on the more action hole.

Just my 2 pennies.

Welcome Scott, and thanks for clarifying that. I run mine at 22".
