jay d Posted October 25, 2009 Share Posted October 25, 2009 we fished tawas this morning 2 for 2,1 eye and a brown.brown trout challenger minnow 100 bk on a board and a fire tiger reef runner on 1 color.both fish were caught out by buoy 6.lots of loose weed floating around and the water was pretty stirred up.as soon as you got one side set you had to clear the weeds of the other side and repeat. I fished in the channel last year in Muskegon and gave up after a one trip through the channel because of all the weeds I hade to keep clearing.Any size to the brown trout? jay d Posted October 26, 2009 Author Share Posted October 26, 2009 just a little one.its not a big numbers fishery but trophy fish are there,we have boated 2 19#s one 17#s and a hand full over 10#s out of there over the years.lots of lake trout.back over to manistee in the morning for some more steel.
