jay d Posted June 15, 2009 Share Posted June 15, 2009 fishing out of manistee was pretty good this weekend.sat we went 27 for 30 with 15 in the box and 12 went back.21 kings,3 steelhead and 3 lakers and today we went 18 for 27 with 12 in the box and 6 went back.7 steelhead and 11 kings.we started off in 110 fow both days untill the sun poped up then changed lures and headed out deep to 500 to 700 fow (the 30 line in the 17s and 18s) where we had most of the action.2,3,5 and 7 colors and riggers 85,69,45 and 35.hot lures were dw super slim steelie stomper and orange tranny,moonshine agent orange.fire ball nuked veggies,mixed veggies,blue bubble,gin n tonic,bad toad and pink panties also took fish.speed was 2.7 to 2.8 s.o.g. we fished a great temp break today,51% to 38% drop in 3/4s of a mile.most of the fish came in the 46 to 47 % water.this is the best start to a season we have had since i started salmon fishing 9 years ago,we broke the 200 fish mark this weekend.hope everybody else is experincing the same and hope it continues:grin:pics are in the gallery Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
