Just Hook'n
Thanks Don. Here's an idea. How about they quit frickin allowing netting. Someone have to actually die first? Or just get really badly hurt?Where do we draw the line on "their rights" vs. everyone else's safety.
GLF
Thanks Don. Here's an idea. How about they quit frickin allowing netting. Someone have to actually die first? Or just get really badly hurt? Where do we draw the line on "their rights" vs. everyone else's safety. I have been seeing freighters running through in 80FOW heading South past Muskegon. Its possible one of them wrapped the nets in their prop and caught the buoys. On the same note I came across a set of net buoys on Saturday night while fishing. The buoys were all grouped together as if a freighter had caught them and drug them. This set of buoys is 2 to 3 miles North of the first set of nets to the North in about 120-130FOW. It looked like a mess, and I did not want to get tangled, so I did not get close to them. I did mark a spot on my GPS, about 200' away. I forgot to grab the numbers when I came home. Paulywood
Hey Mike, that might be the set of nets they are talking about. The DNR marked them with staff buoys. They think it might be 2 sets of nets tangled together. It said 130' of water 7 miles north of Muskegon. Either way, I plan on staying away from that mess. Hope it gets taken care of fast and someone has to pay.

They need the lake to be calm in order to do it.

GLF
These nets were pulled today. I was in Muskegon working on my boat when the barge with a crane on it came in. I watched them unload the nets. There was two of them wrapped together.
