I thought it was about time to show you one of the Swedish secret weapon when it comes to spreading the baits by over 140 yards in width. By using a planer board named TL Power Planer we are able to get our boards as far as 60-80 meter away from the boat (on each side). These planer boards create a h***uva drag, close to 30lbs drag on the planer line. Theres no problem fishing 16 rods on the boards. Here it is... Are you ready??? These boards are 2 feet long and 16 inches wide, they are weighed by 3kg lead (one 6kg downrigger ball split in two). The lead is to prevent the boards to lift when fishing in crappy weather. The boards are "Copies" of otter boards, who again is copy of an very very old Swedish planer board named "Mariestad pulkan". The TL Power Planer is filled with floating foam, and has a hard moulded outer shell.
