Pat and I set lines at 05:30 pm tonight in 110 fow straight out from the port of Manistee. We started marking fish between 110 & 120 fow near the bottom. The cold water was at 90 down. Our first fish came on a meat rig off of a Dipsy Diver. The second fish was a smaller one that came on the same dipsy diver. Then we hit a long dry spell as we worked our way along the ridge and out to 220 fow to the north. As the sun went down we switched to our glow program. Then lines started ripping. First that Dipsy went again (Meat Rig glow) then the lead core with a glow goast J-Plug. Then the down rigger poped with an Area 51, and then the other dipsy with a NBK flasher and a glow fly. So we had 4 fish on all at once and we managed to land them all. Our biggest fish was 16.1 lbs and we had 3 others that were 14-15 lbs range. So a slow night turned out to be a blast. Sorry no pictures we forgot the camara.

We are going out in the morning, I will bring the camara.

Happy Labor day everyone.

Any fish coming in the river / lake yet or are they all behind this year? We've got a slip at Riverside Friday - Sunday and will be fishing hopefully all weekend, but the weather is looking a little iffy...

Thanks for the reports, will you be around this weekend fishing? It'd be nice to have someone local to chat with... Thanks
