I drove by at 5:15pm last night and the water was down... 3-4 inches below the dock. The launch was still closed though. There must have been some big wind event that pushed the water up for a while yesterday after noon. Crazy!

You could send them an email.... They probably don't have all the details ironed out yet. It is a yearly event and its on their calendar.

I would stick with 2 riggers.... 4 riggers that close sounds like a tangle waiting to happen.

Instead of adding the 2 other riggers, just run 2 dipsys per side. We catch more fish on dipsys than riggers anyways.

Charter boats have been boating LOTS of lakers in the Saugatuck/Holland area this spring.

Battery stabilized binoculars help with the bobbing around... but they're pretty pricey. If you ever get a chance to try them out it is incredible. I don't think I could ever afford them.

Closing the salmon season until mid May or reducing the creel limit is making the assumption that the forage base can currently support what is out there. The jury is still out on that... there are still too many predators (lakers included) to keep a sustainable alewive population.

We might have to knock it down even more to allow the alewives to survive....... it's a slippery slope every way you look at it.

The Big Red Classic will be held at the Yacht Basin Marina in Holland, MI on August 1st – August 3rd, 2014. The weekend starts with the Women’s tournament on Friday. Quincy Street Meats is the title sponsor for the Women’s tournament, and first prize will take home $1000.00 on a $50.00 entry fee. Friday night is the famous Chicken Dinner put on by Beechwood Inn. This year we will be holding the raffle after the chicken dinner on a select number of quality items.

Saturday and Sunday we fish the Classic--Catch 12, weigh your best 5.Quincy Street Meats is back again as the Anchor sponsor. Payouts will be $7000.00 for PRO and $3500.00 for AM. This helped me. I had the same issue when accessing from my Galaxy S4. My phone still will only connect when I'm on certain networks. Most of the time the web address will not resolve when connected over 4g---I have to be on a wireless network. Some wireless networks don't work either.

I have a few buddies who don't access this site anymore because they can't load it up on their phones.

Maybe the steel headers should fund a lost and found box so if some one leaves a knife at the cleaning station you can drop in in a locked steel box. Then you could contact. The steel headers to check it if you lost something. It won't. Prevent theft... but I think it could help!
