  1. Closing the salmon season until mid May or reducing the creel limit is making the assumption that the forage base can currently support what is out there. The jury is still out on that... there are still too many predators (lakers included) to keep a sustainable alewive population.

    We might have to knock it down even more to allow the alewives to survive....... it's a slippery slope every way you look at it.

  2. The Big Red Classic will be held at the Yacht Basin Marina in Holland, MI on August 1st – August 3rd, 2014. The weekend starts with the Women’s tournament on Friday. Quincy Street Meats is the title sponsor for the Women’s tournament, and first prize will take home $1000.00 on a $50.00 entry fee. Friday night is the famous Chicken Dinner put on by Beechwood Inn. This year we will be holding the raffle after the chicken dinner on a select number of quality items.

    Saturday and Sunday we fish the Classic--Catch 12, weigh your best 5.Quincy Street Meats is back again as the Anchor sponsor. Payouts will be $7000.00 for PRO and $3500.00 for AM. Big Fish of each species pays each day for $100.00 or prize of equal or greater value (salmon, steelhead, lake trout, brown trout). Big Fish for the weekend takes the gamblers pot. We will have a pig roast Saturday after the weigh-in and brats on Sunday.

  3. Theres probably a bar above that asking if you want to install the mobile add-on, just cancel that and the toolbar should go to the top.

    This helped me. I had the same issue when accessing from my Galaxy S4. My phone still will only connect when I'm on certain networks. Most of the time the web address will not resolve when connected over 4g---I have to be on a wireless network. Some wireless networks don't work either.

    I have a few buddies who don't access this site anymore because they can't load it up on their phones.
