  1. I agree tracks are the way to go. I think you would be fine with Bert’s, Cannon, Cisco, Traxtech, Cannon, Big John, Hi-Seas Or any other brand. I think the track is pretty much all the same the accessories for the track are where the different brands shine. I agree with the backer plate too aluminum is best but I think marine plywood or starboard would be ok and if you don’t have the space for a true backer at the very minimum I would use large washers.

  2. I don’t see how you could do that and not kink the wire you could put a 10-15’ mono or floruo leader in front of the diver but I like running my wire straight to the diver. You could try using the 10’ for mono or braid high divers and getting shorter rods for the wire if that’s an option.

  3. The good is it’s portable, the transducer is always aligned, a bit cheaper than X4.

    the bad is that the slip ducer can get tangled in the rigger cable and actually hang up your ball but the cable seems pretty strong as it held up my 10# weight with no issue.
