Great detailed report. We tried the same thing Saturday out of Holland going out to 215 in search of steelhead. We had 9 lines out and switched them around a couple of times. We ended a long morning with not a single hit. I had everything but meat rigs out during the day. 

I look forward to next week when the weather and the lake calms down. 

Thanks for the report Dan. I hope to get to South Haven at least one more time this year. It has been a memorable fishing year me already!

I suspect these nose injuries happen when they are very small fish. If I see my friend in the Dnr I will show him your picture. I am happy to hear someone got another steelhead in the 140s. For a week and a half they seemed to be missing. I have only dropped one rod in the lake and pulled it back in the boat with another. It is a great feeling isn’t it?

Thanks for the report. Seems like you should have got something out between 140-170.
Where did you launch this morning? I always use the DNR launch but it is closed from what I have heard.

Sad to hear the steelhead have moved, probably out to deeper water. They sure were fun to catch for a couple of weeks. I go up to Ludington this week. I hope to find some Kings. 

Great reports! I hope to get back out next week. Hopefully we will start seeing more kings in the box soon.

Good job- thanks for your report. I went out of Port Sheldon Monday at 7pm and only got one nice steelhead. Coho pods are spotty up here.

Thanks for the great report on your trip with the kids. Those are precious experiences. And thanks for removing the log. I have seen too many this year out of Holland, South Haven and Port Sheldon. I have flags in my small boat so at least I can make them more visible to other boaters.

Thanks for the report!  Any time we get Kings that size is a good day.  Congrats on a good one!

I will be out there later today in South Haven.  Last Sunday we got 2 kings 30 and 33 inches in the same water as you.
