  1. we are still doing this tourney but only have a couple teams signed up at this point so we will have to see what we have by the end of the week any and all donations would be appretiated this will help us all in the long run to protect our great fishery from over fishing by the gill netters. you can go to the web site and just sign up and put what ever amount you want to donate in the check out box just put on there in the team name that it a donation only so I know if you are fishing. thanks again Jimmy Holland steelheaders Web Master

  4. the Michigan Steel headers are a big part of the 3rd party involved in the negotiations theres the feds the Tribes then a third party,we as achapter are trying to raise funds to help in legal fees, one of the other chapters has agreed to a 100 % match up to $3000 so what we raise could be doubled ! Thanks and keep up the input :)

  5. dave most of these tourneys have captains dinners ,goodie bags ,shirts, food, beer, building rentals ect. during the tourney and pretty good payouts if it were just sign up and fish I couldn't see the entries being so high but as a board member of the steelheaders I see all the cost that go into theses tourneys and entrie fees alone will not pay the bills most of the time. jimmy

  6. Well the lake laid down to like 2.5 foot so I decided to take one last trip for the season went solo from 1:45 to 4:30 fished from 120 out to 170 then back to 80 fow ,the temps were 58 top to bottom out to 150 (when I could read my fish hawk lol ) I picked up a steelhead on 400 45 lb blood run copper with a mag skittles in 140 foot , then lost another steelie in 80 fow same set up ,then picked up a 10" salmon which I turned back unharmed . It was a great season hate to see it end but it looks like this wind is going to keep up for a while so im going to winterize this week. jimbobber out on 68:thumb:
