  1. Hey guys, first mated on a charter boat for a couple years, but honestly, the guy I fished with wasn't great at explaining why we were doing what we were doing. I just bought a boat of my own, and for the last several weeks I've been reading 100-140 fow, 60 ft down. However, with the strong winds this weekend, strongest of which are expected to be WSW 15-25 mph, how will that effect the fish? Will they move in, or out? Sorry for the rookie question, I know how to run all my lines, and how to run the boat, but I'm a little behind on the how's and whys when it comes to salmon doing what they do. Thanks in advance.

  2. I think everything is covered. Somebody posted the link to the rules, and we fit the bill for that, definitely all amateurs haha. Where will the launch point be in Muskegon? The public launch by the bait shop, or the launch down by the condos?

  3. I have an ez steer and it works great. However... if you can figure out a way to mount them, and the right rod length for your setup, all an ez steer is is 2 female quick connect air fittings, one connected to each motor, and 2 male air fittings, on a tie rod type swivel, attached to the rod.

  4. Went 4/4 out of south haven in an hour and half. Ran a couple miles north out to 105, set up, and had the first fish in 115 fow, 60 ft down on a dipsy with a Veggie spoon. Next 2 were more of the same spoon on the same dipsy, had one hit on a double orange crush in 125 fow 80 ft down on a rigger. Troll speed was 2.3-2.8, had to call it an early day, but a good trip for the new boat. IMG_0918.jpgIMG_0916.jpg
