  4. 3 for 3 last night fishing solo with a 15# king off a 350' copper in 155' fow on a mixed veggie and 2 Lakers one pushing 14#. It got into a diver with power pro on it and I had to cut the copper and splice it twice during the battle. Now a 300' copper.

3 for 3 this morning with an 11# SteelHead on an orange spoon 5 color and 2 more Lakers.

The flies on my boat had teeth!

  5. 2 for 3 last night with another rookie crew ( hockey team golf/ fish weekend). Again a decent amount of marks most of the night but only landed 2 lakers basically right off the bottom in 90' of water.

Talked to a local at that ramp as we left and the had 2 in the morning with 1 being a king and 1 during the evening troll which was a laker and they were fishing 120' to 140'.

    Tough bite out there..

  6. 0 for 3 last night with rookie crew . A lot of marks actually mostly in the 95' depth but few takers. Very slow for most I heard. Must have been 15 trailers in the parking lot but only saw 4 other boats and they all ended up in toward shallower water.

    Back out tonight ....

  7. I have had 2 - 2 day trips over there this year that were right up there with some of my best ever with an avg of a bite about every 20 mins including a 22# king and 5 kings over 15#. That spoils you! I think this trip will be a little more "Normal". I would probably head more north if this wasn't a destination trip with golf included.

  8. Fished SH 5/12 evening and 5/13 morning going something like 16 for 20
    With 9 Kings landed.

Both trips out started South about 1/2 way to the power plant in 80’ of water Trolled south circling only when we marked or caught fish. First hit 5/12 turned out to be a 22# king and the first one ever landed by my fishing partner who gave it EVERY opportunity to part ways during the fight. Slider probably 40’ down on orange / silver supper slim which caught out 4 biggest kings over the 2 trips. kind of picked away at them the rest of the evening eventually going in early due to the nasty seas.

5/13 in the morning found us being the last boat thru the gate at about 6:10 am before it looked to be malfunctioning as we looked over whole heading out to see the trailers backing up and guys trying to move the barriers.
Back to the fishing ...set up in 75’ heading south again and had one on the slider within 5 Mins and the boats kept coming most 40’ and up so 5 and 10 colors and 150’ copper. Orange/blues/silvers spoon only bite for us.

See the pic below for the overly eager lake trout who coughed up this still alive alewives after getting "snagged" by my magnum lure!
