Well I think the report said it all. Glow spoons did zip but heck if I was a fish and saw that coming at me, I’d be like time to go, not time to eat. The early current had our 2 center rigger lines dancing cheek to cheek. Not sure for how long but I’m guessing it had something to do with no early bites. Everything cam on something blue.

2md, ya we followed u out of the channel, set down sw of U. Thanks for your reports, it’s helped us find fish. Thought about calling out to you on the radio. Did u end up way S. and in skinny water?

Started straight out before sunrise 70 fow. S.W. Troll to mid 90’s, turned back N.E. First fish came at 8:30 on dipsy 120’ back (1.5) w pro troll paddle blue & white w blue fly. 2) 9:15 N troll , dipsy 130’ back, SD dbl wt crush blue fly. 3) 9:35 dr 55’ down, blue dolphin. All kings, all between 80-90 fow. One miss on dr 62 down free slider never broke loose and I couldn’t get it to release, noonish, in 70 fow. Lost it.

Congratulations on your success! Still looking for my “oh we slayed um” trip/s.

I’m still interested in the boat. Would you be able Sunday at some point for me to come take a look?
Thanks, Andy

Thanks for the report. Haven’t seen many out of PW and been thinking of taking a run up there. Best of luck!

Used to take my dad pan fishing every Father’s Day. Lost him 4 years ago one month before his 85th b- day. Sure would love to see him loose a fish at the boat again. Better luck next time.

I am! I’d at least like to take a look at it but I’m having a heck of a time finding time to get over there. Wife had surgery a couple weeks ago and is off her feet for at least 6 weeks so that leaves me with all the chores as well as work. I’ll let you know when I get a chance. Thanks

Outstanding! Great to see some big fish. Congratulations! The kids must have had a riot.

SoHa 7/9 am.
Set lines as the sun was just breaking the dark NW in 150 fow on a NW troll.
Trolled to 195 then turned E. NE. Picked up a 5# steely in 175ish on 5 colors, std UV Watermelon around 8 am. Never marked a fish that we know of and trolled without another hit til we put down a spin n glow on the corner rigger on the bottom. Fish was on for about a doz turns of the reel. A bunch of boats were in @ 80- 100’ so we went in and found bait balls but no takers. Beautiful day on the water though!- 3

Had some steady king action at least early on. Started in 110 and worked our way out to 150. Best action was 150 where we finally found some cold water at 80 foot down, although we did have a few bites inside of that depth. We ended 5-9, all fish lost were silver. Started north and worked south all morning.
1-2 rigger down 80 glow meat rig UV green spinny (steelhead)
0-2 braid diver back 180 blue meat rig UV blue spinny
1/1 wire diver 140 back 10" nbk spinny proctologist fly (20 lb king)
0/1 wire diver back 160 yellow meat rig UV mixed veggie spinny
1/1 braid diver back 200 chrome mtn dew proctologist fly (king)
525 copper (yes you heard me) nbk spinny proctologist fly 1/1 (lake trout)
1/1 225 Cu super slim UV JagerBomb (steel)
Would've been nice to land a few more of those kings. I guess the meat rig hooks weren't working quite right. All fish really put a hammer down on the rods and screamed drag but got unbuttoned within a minute.
Good luck to anyone fishing Big Red this weekend! I'm not fishing it and just thought I'd stir the pot. Hehe.

Couple other boats at the cleaning house said they heard “they “ are still getting good kings out in 200’ fow. One pair said they launched at PS and motored to GH. Had 5 in the box. Gary and I come up from Kzoo, busy schedule at this time of year. Probably won’t get back there till next week.
Tight lines fellas.
