That's sweet! a buddy of mine and I missed our first 5 bites out of Holland on Saturday but rallied and landed 7 out of 15 for a winning box of kings in the West michigan fishing league event.. It was a very emotional day...lots if ups and downs!

We found them down by the nuclear plant two weeks ago water was warmer and cleaner down there than it was by the pier..we think the cleaner water was definitely better

Set up in front of the sliders in 85 fow. Took a 9lb king on an SWR on a rigger down 65, uv green jeans stingray. Shortly after took a 4lb coho on a mag low diver back 110 on a uv green jeans spinnie with pickled sunshine fly. Boats were scattered water warmed and pushed the thermo deeper. Caught fish on North and South troll. Saw a 30lb king at the fish cleaning station that was caught just north of Port Sheldon. Thing was an absolute beast. Ended 2 for 2 not stellar but we will take it!

One of the most epic fire drills on board the Hot Mess this morning. The fish let us get our 9 rod spread set this morning, then at 7 it was game on! I couldn't keep 9 rods in the water till 9 o clock. All 9 rods took hits. Two out downs slick uv spindoctors with uv meat. Shoot rigger slick uv skinny and pickled sunshine fly. High divers out 120 and 140 slick spindoctor and green Flys. Low divers out 90 and 100 Slick uv spindoctors and blue bubble and kavorka meat rig. 225 coppers with double glow pearl silver horde plugs. 85 foot of water on a South troll. We caught and lost some big kings our biggest weighing 22lb. 2 beast coho over 10lbs, smaller kings, and a dandy steelhead and some lakers. Went 15 for 20 b4 9! One of the best days I've ever had on Lake Michigan. They are out there boys go get em!

A mountain dew spindoctor with a matching spin and glow on a dipsey divers ticking bottom was deadly Saturday morning. Also silver dodgers with a spin and glow with a green Howie fly cut in half is also a solid go to.
