If your in the market for flys that produce good numbers of fish I swear by these. I have fished these for three years now and have had great success. I would also recommend there hoochies and spoons. Keep up the good work Great Lakes tackle!!!

I fish trout and salmon out of marquette,mi on lake superior. For tackle we love GL-TACKLE.COM Check him out on Ebay FishKnocker. Tom will fix you up with some great lures. I've had good luck with flasher/ fly and flasher/squid combos also throw in a set of cowbells for a little more flash. They also have a selection of spoons that work good. I like willow blade cow bells but a medium size colorado blade is good. As for speeds I think you rite on but it will change with current and depth. If your fishing lakers keep your leads from 18 to 36 inches from your ball in deeper water.

I'm toms buddy from marquette mi. We have had great luck the past two years with gl-tackle squids and flies behind dodgers and cowbells 18 to 24 inchs behind cowbells at 1.5 to 1.7 mph. We have been running within a foot of the bottom and three feet from the ball.

It depends on what you are fishing for. If it's trout I fish two to three feet from the ball with a max of an 18 inch leader from the flasher to the bait. For salmon it depends on the depth and amount of light, the lighter it is the longer you will want to fish from your ball. If your looking for some lures take a look at GL-tackle.com as I have did really good with them this year I have one of everything and had great success with them.

Targeting Lake Trout
in Salmon Pro's Connection

If your looking to catch lakers don't be afraid of running more than one rigger deep. I successfully run four riggers all the time and have been doing it for years. All I suggest is you stager leader length from balls. I like running lighter balls on rear of boat for more blowback too. I run all sorts of tackle from dodgers and flys, squids and spin and glows to spoons. Check out gl-tackle.com or his eBay fishknocker. I have been fishing there gear for a couple of years and put a ton of fish in the box.
. Good luck.
