  1. The ones i have have clips on them and i remove the original clip off the spin doctor or fish catcher or protroll or paddle(you get the idea) and attach these, i rackin my brain trying to remeber where we got them but you might try gander mountain, they are a little pricey but i really like them, ill take a pic of them when im next in the boat

  2. I got out of bed just before 3 am and started getting everything ready to go,Rick was on his way over and we were to be on our way as soon as he got here, and then i turned the tv on and i saw the weather radar. OMG we we socked in thunderstorms clear back all the way across Wisconson.at about that time Rick got here and he came in and we watched the radar for abit ,after a bit he said he was going home and wanted me to give him a call if it looked like we might be able to get out later.A short time after that Jim called(sixshooter) and said that there was a delay.but as i watched the tv and now it was light out so i could see the web cams and we decided to go to the weigh in and live to fish another day.

That was the biggest damn salmon i have ever seen, in person anyway congrats on that monster(i would have fished for that hog!)

Jim and Bev and the rest of the Tournement staff you have all outdone yourself once again this year you all should be very proud of yourselves. When are you taking sign up for next year you can just put us on the list now we'll be there.

And lastly Wow can ya believe it about $10,000.00 raised for what I believe to be a very worth while cause. I think everyone involved can be very proud of the fact that they helped to make it happen.

    See ya all next year

  3. Nick it is possible that the caliper brackets where the pads set into them are getting rusty, what happens then is that the pads get "pinched" and are very hard to move but when you had to hit them hard they were forced to engage the rotor now there not releasing the way they should. Now if you drained the fluid and they backed off on there own without you moveing the pads back then i agree the calipers are sticking and should be replaced.allot of times just taking them apart and cleaning and lubercating will work miracles

  4. I'm not a salmon and i don't claim to know everything about them but the videos that I have seen they like to chase there food before they strike? and the other nite when I was out we were trolling with a very strong south current and we had a steady bite all nite....Hhmmmm....so now I'm not sure???

  5. The wife my son tad and one of his friends went out with me last nite we headed slightly south out to 100 fow and set up on a south troll.Nothing happened for an hour or so but at about 7:30 things started to happen.I would tell ya what was good or what rig was hot but it didnt seam to matter so long as it had green and crome on it riggers went divers were the best i think and the lead core also worked 7 and 10 color we did run the seven with a 4 ounce dive bomber.i think the turn around happened when i decided to put the probe down to look for cooler water and i found out that we had a vicious south current, i slowed the boat as much as i could but speed at the ball was still 3.1 and then things started to happen so i just stuck with it

we ended up 9 for 12 with 7 kings 2 lakers one returned and one was hooked bad so we kept her all fish were between 7 and 14 lbs

awesome time on the lake and thanks hun for finially giving the big lake fishing a chance

  6. We ran all the way up to white lake out of muskegon mostly because i thought there might be some fish up there but also becouse i had some first timers on the boat that wanted to go for a ride, and considering that we put in at fishermans landing that was quite a ride.

water we worked.....all of it! 250 to 75

things that worked......nothing! we threw everything in the boat in the lake and trolled for close to 5 hours without a single knock off.

water on the surface was a pretty consistand 57 and 65 down it was 42

my riders had a good time they loved the lake and enjoyed the ride so it was all good just wish i could have put them on some fish.

It was the first time i have got my wife out on the big lake she has always said that she would hate it that she would get sick that she would be to board just about any other reason you could think of. she never stops surprising me she said she had a great time and said she would like to do it again real soon........WOW

Nick sorry to hear your not gonna be around for awhile but im sure you'll be back at it soon enough.

  7. well we decided a couple weeks ago that we would drop the boat in green lake for a testdrive and that was a disaster, we had a castosrophic failure of the upper gear case on our cobra outdrive and after much disscussion(cussing) it was decided that we would fix it once again!!!so it went back to the shop once again!!!don't even wanna discuss that bill.

Well we got around to draggin the boat to the lake last nite and thank god everything worked perfectly.

I don't know how many of you have gone threw this before but its pretty stressful when everytime you try to use the boat it costs ya a couple grand, makes ya kinda gun shy

So last nite when the boat started and ran perfectly the out drive worked perfectly and the bildge pump never came on I had to start grinning and I'm still grining a bit.the fishing wasn't that great for us but that's for another place

  8. Well the Tad Pole came home this morning and it appears that she is gonna be just fine.

As some of you may know we took the boat in to be checked out and have a new shift cable installed before the "season" starts, well the check up revealed a couple problems that turned out to be life threatening, the seal between the transom and the outdrive was broken and needed to be replaced the engine and the outdrive had to come out to repair this(bad but not the end of the world) while that was being done it was discovered that someone many years in the past had botched a simular repair and it has been leaking for many years and there was transom rot(ok now i'm worried!)after much discussion(cussing) it was decided to repair it

Well we got her home this morning and she is back in the barn Rick spent much of the day putting gear back on and in the boat i'm gonna go over tomorow and install the new fish hawk and hopefully we will be able to get to the lake soon and give her a proper shake down

  9. Ya thanks Ken that's a pretty close match for Ricks truck except his is white realy nice truck and I think he will be more than happy with it the 5.3 will provide enough power for our needs.

And ya the repairs this year are a killer and on top of that I'm hearing some crazy predictions for fuel prices gonna be a tough year I think
