  1. That's the best wave forecast I have found. The only thing to watch out for is none of the forecast or buoys detect or show roller size. I don't think there's really a good place to start right now, but the farther north you go the better. Run 1 downrigger as close to bottom as you can. I run a tin can Dodger with fireflies Jaws Revenge, but nobody around here has that. It's basically a large Spin and glow with a skirt

Sorry for the late reply. We fished for a few hours Saturday evening and managed to get 1 small Laker and then on Sunday we fished from 7 a.m. until 2. We started at 100fow n went to 160 and turned back in until around 110fow then we pulled lines and headed in and even trolled through the harbor. We didn't even get a hit all day. That's my first skunk in 4 years.

  3. yes, I have the 1st dragonly b4 there were optional sizes.I went thru 5 fishfinders that year trying to find 1 I liked. I absolutely love it. I Am planning on adding a 7 this year. I want the bigger screen, plus then I can use the other 1 just for down imagining. it doesn't matter how many features a stupid humminbird or any other fish finder had if I can't figure out how to work the damn thing. lol. that's y I love the dragonfly. the 3 page install/user manual was the selling point. I didn't have to read a 200 page book, or buy a dvd to show me how to use it.. I LOVE the Dragonflys.

  4. I know it may not be an extremely high dollar unit, but I LOVE my raymarine dragonfly. I went thru 5 fishfinders last year in the $500-$1000 range and hated them all. I had every1 recommending each 1 and swore by them, and I tried em and was not impressed. everything from humminbirds to lowrance and different models of each. Then my buddy that owns Clear H2o tackle in Edwardsburg mi told me to check out raymarines website and view the dragonfly. I liked what I saw so I ordered 1 and with the silver package that included navionics and inland lakes cards, it was only $700.

Lets just say I LOOOVE it. 1st off right out of the box, it looks far better and clearer than anything else in that price range. I used it for the last 2 months of the season and absolutely loved the way it worked too. and to top it off, almost everything is controlled by 1 button. it is so simple to use that it only included installation instructions and a quick 1 page sheet on how to operate it.. Hope this helps some1 out there..

ps, I even told my buddy at the store to recommend them to people and let them no if they don't like them, ill buy it from them.. lol
