  1. I agrer with the last two posts about how grest the talora roller rods are! Im not sure what your budget is, but the talora rollers are quite expensive. For that reason I use regular 8'6" medium-heavy shimano taloraa with twirly tips. This setup is much more economical. Have used this setup for two seasons with no issues.

I think the shimano taloras are your answer, just depends on your budget whether you go with rollers or twirly tips.

    Either way, good luck fishing!

  2. Fished out of AuGres Saturday and Sunday morning.

Saturday Morning: started fishing about 7am, ended at about 1 pm with a 4-man limit. We caught 20 keepers and had well over 20 throw backs. We fished straight out from the AuGres river in 25 ft of water. Every fish came on bottom bouncers with baitfish crawler harnesses. SLOW TROLL, about 1.1-1.3 trolling north and south because of the waves. Color did not seem to matter a ton, but noticed that the purple baitfish crawler harness caught quite a few. Had 4 fish around 23 to 24 inches, the rest were 16 - 18 inch eaters. Great day of fishing all around!

Sunday morning: The bite slowed down quite a bit sunday morning. Got out at about 7am again, pulled 4 quick fish, then picked at 5 more throughout the morning. Ended at 11am with 9 good fish. The small fish did not seem to be there like the day before. Fished the exact same setup in the exact same waters as Saturday.

All in all a great weekend of fishing! Will post pics shortly
