    The 2015 Lake Huron Spring Fling Fishing Tournament - RESULTS

    The tournament ended up being a HUGE success with 50 teams participating and over $20,000 in awarded in cash & prizes.

    First Place: Elsie - K winning $10,000

    Second Place: Gaff-N-Release winning $ 5,000

    Third Place: Z-1 winning $ 2,500

    Fourth Place: Last Chance winning $ 1,500

    Fifth Place: Fin-lander winning $ 1,000

    Product prizes awarded for places 6 - 16.

    2015 Lake Huron Spring Fling Fishing Tournament

    The goal of the tournament committee is to continue to grow the annual Lake Huron Spring Fling to the largest scale salmon / trout fishing tournament on Lake Huron, with the highest payout. Sponsored in part by the Sanilac County Sportfishing & Hunting Association.

    Entry: $200 - Cash ONLY

    Early entry will be taken at: Anderson’s Pro Bait at: (810) 987-7722

    Entry will also be taken at the Captains meeting at The Lexington Village Theater, Lexington, MI. April 17th @ 7pm. Entry will be closed at the conclusion of the Captain’s Meeting.

    ELIGIBILITY:

    Any fishing team is eligible to enter the tournament. Fishing teams must be registered and entry received by ending of Captain’s meeting; April 17th, 2015.

    TOURNAMENT BOUNDARIES:

    Lower Lake Huron. Fishing permitted by boat only.

    TACKLE AND EQUIPMENT:

    9 Rods max in the water. 1 slider per rod is permitted. All fish must be caught by hook and line.

    STARTING POINT: Will be announced at the Captain’s Meeting.

    WEIGH-IN:

    All vessels must be within the mouth of the Lexington Marina by 2pm. Once the vessel enters the Marina, they must proceed directly to the cooler drop-off area at the gas dock. Dropped off cooler shall contain a maximum of 10 fish. 10 salmon/trout total per day of which only 1 Lake Trout is permitted.

    Standings are determined by total weight for the two days, April 18th & 19th. It is your responsibility to notify the weigh master that you would like any of your fish entered into the big fish prizes.

    Hey Gordon, still fish Ludville a few times a year, but it's almost shorter to Lake O from where I live. And... You always have a shot at a legit 30 lb+ fish there! Been hang'in at Frankfort more these days too. Less traffic than Ludville for sure. Good luck this season!

    Been fish'in meat for over 10 years. Feel it consistently takes the biggest fish, as their senses are more developed. Also, helps catch more fish, when fishing is tough. 1/3 of the spread has meat in it in all positions. Diver, rigger & copper. Try it :)

    1988 28' Wellcraft Coastal with 2009 Loadmaster trailer. Twin 350 ci 270 hp engines with aprox 960 hrs each. Motors run excellent and do not use any oil. New canvas with a fully enclosed cockpit area. 2 new batteries, a new Fish Hawk xr4, a new Lorance Eliete 7, a new high speed Cannon down rigger in the center that will lift a 20lb ball, and 2 Cannon high speed down riggers on the out side. Boat sleeps 4, has a shower, head, stove, fridge and microwave. It has a atlantic tower, lots of rod holders, a wash down deck, live wells, and fish boxes. It is a great ride. Asking $21,500 firm.
