Had 250 lb power pro on my old boat. It was quite with no wire whine, and your able to put on as much line as you want. I wouldn't be surprised if snagged you would rip a rigger off before that line breaks lol.

I use 250 lb power pro with a big jon downrigger snubber. I've never had a problem. A spool of 1000yds of power pro is about 200$ but can do many downriggers with years of replacement. Also is extremely quite and don't get the downrigger whine

I'm sure the wood was from the river, I also seen very large dead trees, one coming down the channel Saturday night and one 6 miles out. It's very typical to see debris, picnic tables/trees after the spring floods. Sunday the warm water surged back in with the south blow killed em 140-160 fow four miles south of the harbor. Wire divers and riggers with meat were non stop.

Believe that spoon color is "dancing anchovy" I also fish at least one everytime as its a real producer.
