Can you moor your boat on Wisconsin harbors and fish lake Michigan with a Michigan fishing license?

I have Michigan License and so do one of my buddies and we fish Lake Michigan from Door County. We have been buying WI. License and my buddy asked  why we had to buy a license for WI if we have a MI. License? I had assumed that if you harvest fish you need a license for the state you launch your boat from but cant get confirmation on that. If you can fish shared waters with one state license in another state can you fish off the docks for perch and such?

I tried searching for the answer but couldn't find anything.

Does anyone have any expierence with Pen Yan boats? I am looking at a 2001- 25 foot IO with a 230HP Merc. The company went out of business that year. I will be using it on Lake Superior for Lakers and for cruising. Boat has less than 300 hours on the main motor and is a one owner. The owner has nothing but praise for the brand and the boat and is selling because of his age but I have never been around one. Any feedback would be helpful.

Are the Coho's going on the bay yet. Coming up late next week 9-20 or so but if they are going I may come sooner. Thanks for any info.

New to the forum and a real green horn on Coho, Laketrout (walleye guy most of my life). I will be in Munising for three weeks from the middle of September until early Oct, and would like to learn about the Coho bite.

What time of day, depths, lures, speed and where to fish. Had some luck on Autrain Bay on the west side last year trolling crocodiles and small stick baits in 15FOW about 2.0 MPH but it was just dumb luck. Any information about Munising Bay, Autrain or any where else would be appreciated. Thanks, Just ran accros this forum and looking forward to learning all I can.
