  1. This is one of my friend Ron's cars. Ive known Ron for like 25 years and I actually work for him currently. '70 1/2 Z28. Don't ask me why its 1970-n-1/2 and not just 1970 but there is some kind of reason for it. I'm sure the Camaro enthusiasts know. He has owned this thing like forever, rarely drives it.

  2. Jeff,

Get ready to spend ALOT of money. I bet a good USED lower unit will still cost 1500+ dollars(and that would be on the cheap side).

I'm no expert but if you hit that hard I don't know if a new/used unit would still be able to bolt up to the main part of the body. ??? If you do have insurance might be worth a whole new/used/replacement engine. My insurance would not cover hitting a submerged object. Good luck bud,...I fear your going to need it.

  3. Got out a bit early from work and headed out fishing. Had lines in around 6pm (give or take)and fished til dark. Water was pretty calm and the weather was nice. The fishing was tough though and the biting flies were worse! Almost drove me to the brink of madness. We ended up 2 for 3(one small King, decent LT). Both came on 270 copper with a purple spoon(don't know the name). King in about 125 fow, LT in 83 fow.

Side note: Check your rod eyelets once in a while. I lost a brand spankin' new Spin Doctor/Fly combo when I went to pop my rigger clip. Half the ceramic insert was missing,..cut my line like a knife! If any of you fine gentleman come across a Big White Hammer SD floating around,.........

PS.- What do you guys/gals use to combat them dam flies!!??

  4. gmfishon,

Keep in mind I posted this under the (Miscellaneous Photos- Lets see your miscellaneous photos) sub category. I would get your beef had I posted it under a fishing specific category. Its just some basic fellowship and BSing amongst site-members in a non-fishing specific part of the site. My apologies if it rubbed ya the wrong way.

  5. You got that right Steve. It happened so fast. I was pretty proud of myself though(not with the landing of the fish) but,... I cut the hook/fish away from my thumb, cut the remaining hooks free from the fish, released the fish, pulled hook from my thumb, cleaned and dressed it, then kept fishing. I caught one more small muskie later that night!

  6. Awesome stories and cars! That Z is worth more than my life insurance policy!

I work for the PER-FIT corp which is a member of the Engine Pro Group. Part of my job is delivering engine parts to some of the machine shops in the west MI area. I see stuff on a DAILY basis that will knock your socks off!!

  7. Boltman, is that your cobra? Dam sweet!! Modern muscle is pretty awesome.

Truth be told, my big o'l 455 GS floats like a boat, been known to troll up some Barracudas and Stingrays back n the day. Almost nailed a rare Marlin one time but just couldn't get him to take the bait!
