  1. The clock starts at the time they were to go.I try to contact them the day befor ,or when 15 mins. late.I'll wait an hour at the boat max.A no show looses his deposit an pays full price in advance the next time around. Our seasons are too short to miss days on the water.

  2. I think to put 1000 ft of wire on a reel is not nessary.Load the first reel backwards.put on 500 ft of 40# wire 300yards of 50#fireline or the like, fill the reel up with 50#mono.wind.now you know how much mono to put under the wire and backing.wind onto the 2nd reel. and load the first again correctly using the same amounts.

  3. the only reason I run wire on my divers is becuse of spiny water fleas.I prefer to use 40# wire,it is more forgiving than the 30# when it comes in contact with a rigger or another diver(heaven forbid).my choice of rods is a diawa 10 footer with a" twilly tip"to protect the last guide.

  4. I heard of a way to load copper line in layers, put backing on the reel then 25yds. of copper 30 yds of backing 25 more yds. of copper 30 more yds. of backing ad so on untill full. saves the smaller boats from having to have too many rods on board to cover all the possable depths.Has any one here tried it?

  5. I have had limited sucsess with magnum and over-sized baits. But they most always work when the bait fish are large.I belive lure size should match the major portion of the alwife in the area. Check out the stomic contints of the fish at the cleaning table,it's always a good place to start when fishing a new port, or when it's been a while sence you were out last.
    The fish do not lie.
