Been fishing circle hooks the last few years, easier quicker releases---Generally.

I've had a couple occasions where things have not gone as planned, and in both cases, plus a near miss, the circle hook has completed gone through the jaw (including the hook eye), and my attempted release has ended badly with the fish simply threaded on the leader. All of these have been small fish (never had it with a larger specimen, just skippers. Anyone else have this issue?

i know the bubbler and the mud line is good i also herd there was a hole by bilmar restrant the perch like to hang around. Again if you could answer my questons i would greatly appreciate it.

Turn South out of the Grand Haven Pierheads, look for the pile of boats, starting usually in late April, but maybe not until June this year.

Nothing going on

Ice as far as the eye could see. Going to be a hard winter on the alewife; glad I froze a bunch last year.
