  1. Due to a late evening bass fishing trip Friday night we got a very late start this morning. We came out of the piers at 8:30 and was going to run out to 100 foot to set up but we saw a boat in close with a steelhead on so we decided to set up in shallow. We had four rods in the water when a dipsy with a green spin doctor and green fly took off. We netted an 8 pound sheephead. It was the biggest one I had ever seen. It came in 35 feet of water. Fifteen minutes later we got a steelhead on a red thin fin behind a board. We worked 20 feet to 50 feet of water until noon and had no more releases. Not hearing much action for perch we came in.

Have a great day on the water!!!

  2. We set lines at 6:30 in 70 fow straight out of the piers. At 80 feet we took a steelhead on a blue spin doctor with a blue fly on a dipsy 135 back on one. At 90 feet we took a coho on a lemon spin doctor with a green fly on a dipsy 150 back on one. On the way back in we took another steelhead on a full lead with a dream weaver lemon ice. We pulled lines at 9:00 to look for perch which we never found.

Have a great day on the water!!!

  3. We went straight out of the piers and set in 100 fow at 7:00 PM. We took a west troll and took a king in 130 fow on a dreamweaver glow frog 45 down on a rigger. We hit 150 and not marking anything we turned back east. At 135 fow we took a laker on a lime spin doctor with a monkey puke fly behind a dipsy 125 back on 1. At 130 fow we took a king on the same dipsy set up. At 115 fow we took a king on a moonshine flounder pounder 50 down on a rigger. That was all the action we had except for the flies biting. The surface temp was 60 and at 65 feet down we had 51. We picked up lines at 9:30.

Have a great day on the water!!!

  4. We got to the ramps this morning to find they were under water. We launched anyway and started the day with wet shoes. The fishing wasn't much better for us as we went 2 for 3. We set up about 6 miles north of the piers and worked 60 to 80 fow. I didn't go deep because my passengers had to be home by noon. We lost our first fish which was a king when it went around a dipsy line. It came on a dreamweaver green dolphin. We then took a laker on a half core with a blue and yellow pro king in 78 fow on an east troll. As soon as the laker was in the net we took a king on a blue spin doctor with a blue bubble fly behind a dipsy 80 back on a 1 setting. It came in 75 fow. We then trolled the next two hours with no hits. There was no radio traffic at all so I heard no other reports. I didn't mark any bait all morning.

Have a great day on the water!!!

  5. Our first trip of the season went well as we went 9 for 10 and everything worked on the boat. We fished a little south of the A frames in 20 to 35 fow. Red thin fin behind a board took 3 coho and one laker. A blue and orange thunderstick behind a board took one coho. An orange dodger with a white fly on a dipsy 40 back on 3 took one coho. A red and silver pro king on a dipsy took 3 coho. Have a great day on the water!!!

  6. After working for three weeks in Alabama I finally got back on the big pond. We didn't start until 10:00 due to the rain. We set up i n 80 ft and took our fist fish in 83 fow. It was a Laker on a lime green spin doctor with a monkey puke fly 80 down on a rigger. At 90 fow we took a king on a full lead with a yellow /green J-plug. At 104 fow we took another laker on the same rigger set up 80 down. We turned back east and took a double on two full leads. One with the same J-plug and the other on a dreamweaver lemon ice. I put the J-plug back out and just put the rod in the holder when it went again. We finished the day at 2:00 with a king on a dipsy 200 back on 1 with a green/white spin doctor with a dolphin fly. We ended with 4 kings and three lakers. Have a great day on the water!!!

  9. My vacation week started out great. I took my 93 year old parents and son out perch fishing. We took a four person limit in 32 fow off the A frames south of the piers. At least a half of them were over 10 inches and the rest between 8 and 10. It was the best perch trip we have had in a couple years. Usually I miss the good fishing by a day or two. Tomorrow we hope to look for some kings before perch fishing. Have a great day on the water!!!

  10. We set up about 2 miles north of the piers in 120 fow. The first rod in the water went before I could get another one set. A king came on a green and orange pro king 60 down on the rigger. The king came on a dreamweaver green dolphin 75 down on a rigger and the laker came on a stinger blue dolphin 80 down on a rigger. Have a great day on the water!!!

  13. It was slow for us today as we never really found the fish. We ended 4 for 6 but never had a bump until 9:30 after setting lines at 6:00. We started at 90 fow and went west to 250 fow. All four fish came 217 to 230 fow. Two kings, one steelhead, and one laker. One king weighed out at 13 pounds. Yellow and blue pro king took one king on full lead. At 9:00 we pulled lines to look for perch as we never had another release. We fished 5 miles north of the piers in 75 to 90 fow. I don't know what others did as there was very little radio traffic.
