i think were gonna stay in the Port Clinton/Catawba area. were just haven't nailed down a place to stay yet.

i'd like to make a trip to lake erie, we'd bring our own boat....looking at the end of april ,early may. looking for places to say that are not to far from the hotspots, thanks for any info.

Jeff, How big are the sidekicks?

they are about the same size as a luhr jensen O, i use a rapture coho with them....a different look from everybody and their cousin who is out there with standard peanut fly

Are you referring to America's Sports Show in Rosemont?

If so, size wise in 2010 Grand Rapids was much larger. This year the Chicago show was twice the size it was last year and very similar to Grand Rapids. (Side note: There will be no more Americas Sport Show anymore, so maybe that was not a smart move)

Show quality, Chicago does not even compare to Grand Rapids. I was completely overwhelmed walking into GR compared ANY sports shows on the west side of the lake. The tackle booths at GR have a larger selection of tackle in their BOOTHS then the majority of tackle shops over here have in their entire inventory.

Not to mention the Ultimate Air Dogs! My wife could have sat and watched them all day. Maybe I should have invited her to come with me this year.......NAH!
