I haven't used them yet. I'm on the east side of the state. Don't get to fish salmon nearly as much as I'd like to. Two things that might be a problem are, they might need roller tips. Torpedo tips are what I would look at If they need to be upgraded and they are rated at 20 to 50 LB test and 7' long so the rod isn't going to be much of a shock absorber fighting fish.
