  1. Lowrance Autopilot

Need some solid advice... I have a 21' Proline with 200HP outboard, hydraulic steering... Thinking about putting the Lowrance Autopilot on her for about $1000, can anybody tell me if that is a good fit for me, as I already have the Lowrance HD7 sonar and GPS it ties into? Anybody have ones that can give me input? Many thanks! Sent from my SM-G950U using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App

  5. Muskegon 7-3 5/5 - left the dock at 7 AM and set up in 90 FOW as we were seeing some decent marks - despite the fact that most of the pack of boats was out about 135 FOW. Set up and didn't have a hit in there - water temps were too warm - 65 down 80. First hit didn't come until we hit that 135 FOW on the east side of the pack by the weather bouy. Nice first fish on 100' CU with double orange crush - about 10# silver bullet steelhead. 45 minutes lets - another one - identical to that one - ripped the wire mag dipsy 145' on #2 - white pearl SD with white mirage fly. Trolled east and west from that 135-185 and picked up a 6# king on DR - 135 down with white pearl SD and little boy blue fly. Then we had made our way to the 250-300 FOW - and there were marks everywhere - good temps - and we had to leave after a short while - and managed 2 lakers - 200' CU with a uv frog type spoon - lakers were 4 and 6# Pulled lines at 2 PM - All in all it was a good day as most couldn't but a bite based on the radio chatter - and only hoped we could have stayed for the evening bite - but the 2 guys had to get home.

Curious, what is the bucket tip? Thanks Sent from my SM-G950U using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  7. Muskegon 6-1 Fished from 3:30 PM - 9:45 PM with my daughter and a newbie - overview is that we went 5/8 all Kings and 2 nice ones lost in battle. Started in 85 FOW and out to 160 FOW. Started on a NNW troll and turned south, easing into the 135 FOW range about 2-3 miles south of harbor where there were some temp slicks and good water - but few marks the whole time. Surface temps stayed right around 57 deg. - and 48-50 down to about 85 FOW - so no real temp changes - especially after blowing hard for a few days. Fishing was slow for the first 3 ours with only 2 in the box - 7# and 10# kings - then about 6:30 or so things picked up a bit and culminated in a 20# king right at sunset. Most of the fish came on 1 set up - wire magnum dipsy - 180' back 2.5 setting with blue crush SD and a poofster fly and the deep corner rigger - down 130' with white crush SD and little boy blue fly. Last king - the big one - hit a double orange crush down 85' on the other corner rigger. No boards fired at all - couldn't believe that one! Happy hunting - tight lines!
  8. Sorry for the late report, fished straight out from harbor. Set lines at 4 pm in 100' and didn't mark anything worthy of mention. Had a rip on 300' CU but nobody home, then when we hit the 160 fow, boated a 7# king, then from 6:30-7:30 it was fast action until the storm was too close for my comfort. Had 4 more on, 3 hos and threw back a shaker king. First trip of the season, felt good! All fish came on 100 CU with lemon ice and blue dolphin. No takers on dr or dipsies Sent from my SM-G950U using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
