  4. Often seen boats in the Grand Haven channel start hooking up after a freighter departs in the morning. And have caught fish from the pier casting to the dredge.
  5. We caught some kings last spring close enough to the dredge to need ear plugs…
  6. I wonder if the dredging of the channel is a big disrupter pushing the fish out to deeper water. Reports from SoHa indicate they are in tighter. Smart move to bump it out and a nice catch.
  7. Fin Warrior gets the bottom wet next week. Anxious to get out with great reports such as yours.
  8. Fished from 8 until 12:30. Tried inside of 50 for 2 hours with only 1 coho to show for it. So we bumped out to 160. Fished in 160-180 and went 6/8 out there and 7/9 overall. Orange dodgers on divers back 30-35 feet took most fish.
  9. Drifted down the TC today. Went 6 for 6 for a one man's limit in 2-1/2hrs. Fin-s golden shiner took all the bites. I didn't lose any jigs but snagged 2 of my stinger hooks. (2) 15, (1) 16, (1) 16-1/2, (2)17 . All males. LS was hot today. 15-22fow. Winds were low today for a change, but the boat wakes were worst than the 20mph winds my last trip. Today was a Monday, but it looked like a weekend. Wall to wall boats. Sent from my Z5156CC using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  10. Went out of St. Joe Sunday morning to fight the wind. 3-4 foot waves with occasional 5's. Beat our way down to the nuclear plant, turned, and trolled back north. Got our first fish in 40FOW setting the first line. Trolled north about 3/4 of the way back to St Joe working the 25-40FOW. Had 7 fish in the box so we pulled gear, beat our way back south, and did the run again. Ended up boxing out a 3 man limit on medium sized coho by 1pm. Wind and waves calmed as the morning went on and other boats started showing up by 10:30. We ran small dodgers with peanut flies, along with reef runners/rapalas with various amounts of pink, purple, white, and orange. Everything took at least one fish. Lost a total of 6 coho on the way to the net. No other species caught by us.
  11. We fished around 27 FOW a few miles West of West Sister Island. Troll speed between 1.3 and 1.8 caught fish. Chrome and blue bandits did most of the damage. Most fish came in the top 15 feet. Lots of big fish. 4 hours to limit on the 7th and 3 hours to limit on the 8th. (From first fish to limit fish.) We also saw the eclipse from the boat. Enjoy the pics. The biggest walleye was 8.5 pounds. Sent from my SM-G991U using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App

  17. Basic economics. What is something worth? Whatever someone is willing to pay. Plenty of lots of crap Carrylite duck decoys asking $50 a dozen on Craigslist to attest to that. Just sold some $179 new Abu Garcia reels for $60 a piece and it took two months to get that.
  18. Ironic that I checked for the first time this spring only yesterday to find out if they were active yet and found that they were not. Thanks for the update and happy they are going in today.
  19. It is always the question of if you want to get rid of it or if you want to try and squeeze every last nickel out of the box. Most guys are going to have a bunch of spoons/plugs already and would likely want to pick the box to look for favorites. You might be best served selling them in lots of 10-20 spoons or 5-10 plugs and pricing them to move. While new spoons are selling for $10 a piece, as FBD noted, your spoons may not be current, so will likely not fetch top dollar. Maybe $1-2 each and get rid of them. $10-20 for a lot of ten spoons or j-plugs can be pretty tempting (I like the small silver jointed one in the upper corner). Another approach would be to try and sell the entire lot to a newbie - say $200 for everything. If you go that route, take better pics of the spoons (vertical of each card in the box works) and the plugs. People want to know what they are buying. I would also get rid of the sinkers and other small stuff, as most guys on here likely have enough of that already. Good luck with the sale.
