  3. Went out of Hessel on our last day of vacation and headed 6.5 miles toward ‘Mackinac Island. Picked up a king right off the bat in 90FOW on a green glow spin doctor and a bloody nose fly 150 back on a dipsey. CUght 5 lakers after that. Three of them came off the dipseys with the same spin doctor/fly combo or the other was a green paddle with a watermelon fly. The other two fish came off the rigger 65 down on a mat Allie blue and green spoon. We went out on four trips while we were there and went 15 for 19 on the trip. Lakers and 1 king. Got the boys up early and they had a blast fishing with us. Here are some pics of a few different catches.

  5. 21' 2009 Willie Raptor with a 90 HP Honda 4 stroke, and a 9.9 Honda 4 stroke kicker. Both motors have E-start and power tilt with forward controls and are both connected for steering. This boat was built by Willie for me, and delivered in August of 2009 with a lifetime warranty on the hull. I have taken care of this boat meticulously and it's in beautiful condition. It's all welded with 3/16" Aluminum on the sides and 1/4" on the bottom and has 3 color paint. Full canvas enclosure, and a removable addition to the top that covers the entire back of the boat. This boat has plenty of room to fish in back as there is a bench seat mounted on the passenger side in the rear even with a extra large cooler I have opposite. It's at K&G campgrounds in Oswego, NY now. I also have the build pictures of this boat to show what a tank it really is. All the rods, reels, boxes and boxes of flies, lures, divers are included. I'll bet there's close to $3K or more in tackle. All the jackets and safety equipment, nets and anchor. This is a turn key boat. It was just Coast Guard Aux. inspected, and a 2019 season launch pass to Wright's landing is mounted on the glass. If you ever wanted to get in a boat and fish, this is the one. Price is $30,000.00. More options Raymarine Autopilot Cobra Chart Plotter Lowrance Fish Finder Fishawk X4D ControllKing for the kicker 2 Scotty Downriggers 2 Cannon Rod Holders with hardware that allows them to be mounted in the tracks incorporated in the boat on the sides or the back Mooring Cover Front Fish Box 2 batteries with on board charger 40 gal. under floor fuel tank with separate lines for each motor (always non-Ethanol fuel used) Heavy duty Baker bunk trailer /w Power Winch

  13. Looks like a nice day to be on the water. Nice catch. Hopefully the silver fish show up soon.
  14. Arrived at launch around 5:30 am. Ran down to the "sliders" and started setting lines in 105 @ 6 am on a S troll. Initially set an all salmon spread as the sun was coming up. After about 30 minutes I started switching a few things out for trout. Wasn't having a lot of success. Turned north at Saugy and moved out to deeper water (120) and picked up 1 small trout on a SD/spin glo combo on rigger but lost it trying to flip it in the boat without the net. Got another LT on wire diver SD/SG combo and lost it. Got another LT on wire diver. Picked up a good sized Laker on a blue Flounder Pounder spoon down 60 on rigger. Picked up one more LT on the rigger bouncing bottom with the Mellow Yellow SD/spinny combo on rigger. No silver bites. Pulled lines at 10:30. Finished 3-5 on trout. SOG was 1.8 - 2.2. Speed at ball was 2.0-2.5
  15. 2 for 3, both laketrout, 4# and 6#. Lost another fish (?) 65 ft down in 125fow. Fished 115-140 with a few marks. Lake was flat. Both fish came on a 8" flasher "Hawg wild" with a home made fly "Irish shallow". Lost fish was on a 250 cu with blue holo dolphin mag. Both laketrout came on north troll 2.3-2.5 sog with rigger just off bottom in a 120-122 fow at 7:56am and 8:52 am. Village joined me today. 17. They already do plant some 800,000 Chinook in Huron still but supposedly they all leave and head to Lake Michigan. Because of this, those fish are counted towards the LM stocking totals. The question is, why not just stock those fish in LM if they are counted as LM fish? A lot of the things we are told to believe don't make sense...
  18. I talked to a DNR officer last night and asked him why they aren’t planting salmon in Lake Huron. He told me there is no food for them. I have fished in the past year from harbor beach all the way to Hessel and I have caught both trout and salmon that are full of alewives. Maybe someone much smarter than myself can help me out. If the smelt population is up and the alewife population is at the very least on the rise why not plant salmon??
  19. Went out and fished from 6-9am and hammered the lake trout. Fish the north side of the island and went 6 for 9. 1 for 3 on the dipsey’s, 1 on a full core and 5 for 6 off the balls 52 and 60 foot down. Glow and green spin doctors and flies l, dark green and dark blue spoon, green and black spoon and a chrome with purple and pink spots. The stackers never caught a fish and the half core never had a lick. We marked big pods of bait down at 50 foot and as soon as we got through the pods we picked up a fish. We are going to hit it again tomorrow morning.
  20. Good Job sounds like there are still a few Salmon around Seahawk and were thinking they had all moved north but have not fished in the evening in a few years. Thanks for the report wish more would report their catches
