  2. Fished 110 to 160 fow basically out of Mona lake. Hits came on mixed veggie on rigger down 71 laker. Other on 11 color with moonshine happy meal, but green with uv tape. Sorry don’t know what it’s called. Green ladderback with uv tape. 4 lb king. Both hits were 140-145 fow. The one I missed was low diver set at 1 out 125 on braid with 12 in spindoctor white with mirage fly. Just didn’t get to quick enough. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  3. 0 for 3 last night with rookie crew [emoji38]. A lot of marks actually mostly in the 95' depth but few takers. Very slow for most I heard. Must have been 15 trailers in the parking lot but only saw 4 other boats and they all ended up in toward shallower water. Back out tonight .... Sent from my iPad using Great Lakes Fisherman
  4. Good advice Jason. You could also run one downrigger rod with a two color leadcore. Let the spoon and leadcore out, then put a clean spoon on that line. I would also try some other types of spoons too (non-glow). One of my favorite spoons is a magnum blue dolphin (by Silver Streak). I also really like to use the UV spoons in the Stinger and Stingray size from Michigan Stinger. I would guess greens and blues would work best. What kind of water clarity is there in the reservoir? If it's not crystal clear, then some plugs might be effective run 50-100 feet behind the ball. If the fish are very skitish due to a lot of boat traffic, it might be more effective to only run 2 downriggers instead of all four. How deep do you usually run the downriggers?
  5. How and where do you suggest installing a rubber band (to stop the line from paying out), on the inside of the spool or mandrel? Just trying to imagine where and having trouble.
  6. I know out west (Pacific Ocean) they'll run a 11" paddle in front of a spoon with a 6' leader between them as a standard setup. I've taken salmon on that setup in Lake Michigan, but usually I run my spoons naked. If you're running 4 riggers, I'd start your morning with 3 flashers and run one naked spoon as your deep line. Run the flashers a bit higher in the water column in the morning and the fish should come up to investigate. If they don't hit, they'll peel off and head back down and see the naked spoon. As your morning progresses, you may have to remove the flashers if they aren't getting bit and go with naked spoons, or try increasing your length behind the cannonballs. I usually lower my cannonballs as the morning progresses also. You can also run fixed sliders and free sliders above your primary baits.
  7. Last week
  8. I run four lines on down riggers boat dont give you much room on this lake so if u run divers eventually your gunna get it hooked on someone else's line and I run moonshine spoons mainly
  9. I have had 2 - 2 day trips over there this year that were right up there with some of my best ever with an avg of a bite about every 20 mins including a 22# king and 5 kings over 15#. That spoils you! I think this trip will be a little more "Normal". I would probably head more north if this wasn't a destination trip with golf included. Sent from my iPad using Great Lakes Fisherman
  10. I'm guessing most of the time , the fish are pretty deep in the reservoir (50 feet or deeper. I would run both flasher and fly setups, and also clean spoons/no flasher. How many lines are you running? A few downriggers and a few divers? What types of spoons have you run?
  11. I'm fishing a lake in Montana called fort peck. Not sure if everything will relate to my lake but I figured cant hurt to try some new things
  12. Good stuff. I thought I add a printable recipe for those that want it. Adirondack Salmon Chowder.pdf
  13. There were a few guys fishing in about 70’ and not sure if they were fishing for lakers or what. There weren’t that many trailers in the parking lot and we were the only ones at the fish cleaning station. I would set lines in about 60’ straight out from piers and angle out SW and then NW until you find some. When we got our first king in 135’ we stayed in the area until they shut down and then went out deeper. Good luck.
  14. Reminder! NWMI Fishing Club Contest on East GT Bay tomorrow evening (Wednesday) 6-9 (Center Road). My favorite 3 words...”Light and Variable”. Come on out and test your mettle against the Lakers and Ciscos! We will be there about 5pm to get registration started. Going to be a great night of fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  22. benefits of 5G for businesses will have a great impact within the business world – no matter what sector your business is in. That’s why you must be prepared for the introduction, by ensuring that you have the right systems in place. Even though it is available through a few providers in the US.
  23. The good is it’s portable, the transducer is always aligned, a bit cheaper than X4. the bad is that the slip ducer can get tangled in the rigger cable and actually hang up your ball but the cable seems pretty strong as it held up my 10# weight with no issue.
  24. Anybody have any experience with the Fish Hawk X2, the good, the bad and the ugly. Sent from my SM-G970U using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
