hello,

To catch suspended walleye I use crankas & minnows, but I saw lot of articles how guys use small spoons with minidisks. What is the benefits of this method & when it work better.

PS: Here in Russia on Ladoga lake we don't use spoons at all.

The spoons are just another tool in the box. I run crawler harnesses about 90 percent of the time. I have taken some nice Walleye on spoons off the downriggers. I don't think any one method has an advantage over another 100% of the time. Like always, "Find out what they want, and give them lots of it".

Hello Frank, what type of blades and what size do you prefer ?

I agree with Frank. It is good to be able to use different tools. I usually start with what was working last time I was out. Then when things are slow I start changing everything, going through cranks, harnesses and then trying spoons. Something is bound to get them going, at least in my experience.

how do you control harnesses depth ? For example I want run it about 3-5ft or little deeper if the total depth around 20ft.

I get my harnesses down with bottom bouncers, Inline weights, snap weights, and I'm going to try the dive bombs this year. I like #4 or #5 Colorado blades on my harnesses but have run some smaller ones.

If you are wanting to run 3-5ft. then get one or two color cores.
