Getting ready to order a 1500yard spool of PP for some copper and core rods and was wondering if anyone has had more success with one vs another? I have one rod with yellow and several others with green. I'm just wondering if anyone thinks color makes a difference on the cores and copper.
btw my yellow rod is my most productive but that may have everything to do with depth and nothing with line color

I don't believe the color makes any difference when using it as backing for Lead Core and Copper. Most of it will never be in the water when trolling; it will be between the boat and the board. The top choices are White or Gray and Green. But, I do believe color makes a difference on diver rods.

I switched to yellow 40# Power Pro (10 lb diameter) for core and copper last year and I really liked the high vis line to easily see lines behind the boat preventing tangles and to all of the boards.

i tried the red last year and noticed that by mid season the color was wearing off.apperantly it is died and has to be redied.so i switched back to the green.this was power pro by the way.

You can put the colour back on your braid by using a permanent marker. In fact power pro talks about this in their literature and on their website.
I have recently switched to red power pro. When fishing at night and using a red led headlight, the red power pro appears white and easily seen.
