No I haven't been using it on my nails. Rather I just put a guide on one of my Dipsy Rods. I had one eye that was missing an insert. I raided my wife's sewing box for some black thread and her medicine cabinet for the clear nail polish. I had a broken rod in the garage that I robbed the eye from. I removed the broken eye with a jackknife, and glued it's replacement down with super glue, then checked it's alignment before the glue set. Next I wrapped the eye to the rod with the black thread. I then coated the wraps with the clear nail polish. It usually takes 3 - 5 coats of polish. Let it dry between coats. If you take care it will be difficult to notice the difference between the other guides. The nail polish is tough and easy to use. The polish also works well to touch up rod scratches or eye wraps that are cracked. Don't tell your wife:no: or it will probably piss her off. But on the other hand it may make her focus on that, and not something else that you did.:)
