I think I would like to add a couple more of the Berts Ratcheting Rodholders. A couple of years ago I had found a good deal on a walleye tackle shop and have since lost the web site address. I have found them for $55 at Big Lake Outfitters but do not know if this is the best price out there. Does anyone know of a better deal for these rod holders? Thank you for all your help in this search.

I've looked around quite a bit and could not find a price better than $55. I even tried to get a couple of the local tackle shops to match the $55 mark, and none would go that low.

If you do find some, let me know as I'll be in the market to add a couple of more, too.

Yeah, if you get them for $55 you are doing really well.

Came in yesterday. Now if the weather would change so we all can uncover our boats and play. Can not wait to put them in the tracks.

Richard, did you get the polished aluminum or the brushed aluminum? I might have to get a couple more for my boat.

I ordered the brushed aluminum because that is what matched the two I already had. Just out of the package they seam a little more brighter than the older ones but I can not match them up due to the boat all covered up. :( If they are any different I will just pair them up together on each side so the two together are the exact same finish. My father and I both have bad backs so the ratchet feature is the way to go for us. We do not have to lean over the side to get the rod out of the holder. Worked great last year and my wire divers are very productive.

Tight lines to all. Can not wait to get the boat wet.

If you're worried about the finish, then you could use a scrubbing pad on each till the finishes matched.

Not realy too worried about it. It is a fishing boat.

Tight lines.
