Anglers need to use EXTREME CAUTION. Rain mixed with snow and high winds have opened up a large area out from Sand Point near Escanaba. This is the same area where they have been catching whitefish, and one angler was stranded and had to be rescued. All areas south of the narrows in Gladstone are now EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. Warm temperatures have softened up the edges and slush will limit travel.
