Several inches of slush are making for difficult travel. Yellow perch fishing has picked up slightly. Anglers have done well using perch minnows, wax worms or cut bait in waters 12 to 35 feet deep near Sumner Road, Stolt Road and South Shore Drive. No trout or smelt have been caught.
