View Full Version : Balloons
Ever wonder where all of the stray balloons floating around on the lake come from? I witnessed two car dealerships in Otsego releasing them from vehicles after their sale was over :angry2: I am sure other dealerships are doing the same thing.
Would this be considered littering?
It would be considered laziness and a general lack of consideration..

Put the balloon over the dealers head and tie it around his neck. Leave him there for three minutes, take the balloon off and tell him thats how your motor feels when his balloon is stuck in your water intake.

I think this is a problem everywhere. I live in Oregon and this Stuff happens here all of the time. I can understand the Birthday Kid that lets one loose now and then. I even can accept that there are folks that do it at Funerals. Wouldn't it be great to impose a graduated penalty system  with the fines going directly to the Fisheries? Trust me I hate Taxes and more laws are seldom the answer. If they would enforce it, the Car Dealerships might think twice about cutting the string and letting them fly. Just my $ 0.02 Thanks,

Need to do some educating in the school system too. Most schools here have a day were all the kids get to tie a message to a balloon with their addy to see if they get a response. Some educators need to be educated in what is "bio-degradable".
