Honestly, this is a true story. It actually happened to me one time. Guess it was about 3, 3 ½ months ago. I'll have to use a few pictures because I’m not that great with words and of course some people just won’t believe you unless you give them photographic proof.
So let me start off by giving you a little background. About 8 months ago, I hit the NYS Lottery. Roughly 3 Big-ones. As I couldn’t decide how to invest the money and realizing that our favorite past-times are not the cheapest things on earth, I devised a plan whereby my newly acquired assets would be invested by the bank into three very exciting currency accounts.
I picked

and

and of course

Well, it was a long winter because I’m not into that hardwater fishing stuff. As the cold wintry months slowly drifted by, the accounts grew somewhat but every day I couldn’t help but think about that ultimate once in a lifetime shark fishing experience of a Great Lakers Troller on good ol Lake Ontario.

Then one day, the snow was gone. The days were sunnier and the icy waters started to warm up. The first good weekend we got all the fishing gear and the little rig ready for our season’s maiden voyage. (Guess I’m supposed to call it the “shakedown cruise” if I want to show my dedication and salty-ness) The following week, we hooked the boat up and at 3:00 AM, hauled it about ¼ mile to the public launch on the Genesee River.

It took a little finagling and recalculation, but we finally got her in the water a little after 7:00. Luckily, she fired right up and so we were quite happy. We headed out the River in search of those famous monster sharks that inhabit the Big-O.
By chance we happened to look up at the sky. …Oops…

We weren’t to awful worried about those nasty clouds though because on the Big-O, especially around Rochester, the saying is “if you don’t like the weather, just wait ten minutes and it’ll change.” Well, we cleared the harbor and it did just that:

With big ol sharks on our minds, we decided the best thing to do was just not look at that d_mm sky anymore and just concentrate on the instrumentation and find some fish. We cruised around for about an hour & ½ honking the horn and blinking the lights. Then as the fog lifted, buzzers & sirens sounded off as our faithful fish finder showed us a mother-load.
