Frankfort, Lake Michigan - Fishing Report

[Fishing Report]

Pier fishing has been slow, but a few chinook were caught off the very end of the pier when using alewife. Trolling was best to the north near Point Betsie and straight out in front of the piers, though the fish seem scattered. Try trolling in 150 to 350 feet of water with spoons in the colors green, blue, red or purple.

Fished Saturday morning out of Frankfort by myself and went 2 for 6. Big king was 14# on Blue Dolphin/ Dipsey 150' back. Fish shut off at 6:30, pulled lines at 7:45. Went out Sunday morning with two buds and went 1 for 5, best king on the same dipsey and it shut off at 6:30 again. Continued fishing until 9:30 without a touch and pulled lines. All fish cleaned had NOTHING in their bellies...hope it gets better soon.
