Has anyone ever heard of or used these boards:

if you want to spend $90 i can make them much cheaper, made of the wood of your choice, pine, red or white oak and dont forget cedar!!!

I have been using Riviara Boards for years and the main thing I like about them is they fold flat for storage. I have had them for 13 years.

I know i can go with home made i have the plans here. Supposedly they are only 14 inches long and pull straighter out from the boat without as much stress, so you dont have to use a mast. The article i read said just a 45 series reel and a 8 foot stout rod is all you need. I was just wondering if it is true or not. It would be nice to have boards that are only 14 inches long. Just dont want to buy them as they are expensinve without hearing from someone if their claims are true.
